Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday (and her brother's birthday too!) I found out that my sister in law in conjunction with a friend of my mom's from work threw my mom a surprise birthday party this weekend! I was excited for my mom but sad at the same time because I a) didn't know about it and b) wouldn't have been able to go either way. But I'm glad my mom had the ladies in our family and some of her close friends celebrating her birth.

Birthday's have a new meaning to me now that I'm a parent. I think about how special it is bringing a child into the world. I know my grandma felt the same way about all of her children. I am thankful my mom had my grandma to raise her. How different my life would have been without my grandma's influence over all of our lives.

So today, I am celebrating my mom. She is one of the most generous and thoughtful people I know. She has always made me feel so special and that I could do anything in the world. She has helped mold me into the woman, wife and mom that I am today. I am so blessed to have had a Christian mom to raise me, guide me, and teach me about life. Happy Birthday mom! I love you more and more everyday!
